Rohini, Delhi | Sept 27— Titiksha Public School celebrated Grandparents’ Day 2026–27 with the students of Balvatika I to Class I at the Tecnia Auditorium, bringing together grandparents, children and the school community in a heartfelt celebration of love, family, memories and intergenerational bonds.
The programme was graced by Mrs Swati Kovind, Founder of Sahyog and a social worker, as the Chief Guest, along with Dr Archika Didi, Spiritual Leader, as the Distinguished Guest. The occasion was also attended by Ms Ritambhra Chauhan, Chairperson; Dr Arun Kumar Bhatia, Manager; Ms Radhika Pahwa, Head of School; Ms Rashmi Chhabra, Vice Principal; members of the school administration, teachers, students and invited grandparents.
The morning began with a warm welcome to the grandparents, whose presence added a special sense of warmth and significance to the occasion. The proceedings commenced with chanting of mantras, creating an auspicious and serene beginning to the celebration.
The welcome segment was followed by addresses by the Chief Guest and the Head of School, highlighting the importance of family values and the invaluable role grandparents play in nurturing, guiding and inspiring younger generations. Their presence serves as a living connection to family traditions, wisdom and experiences that enrich a child’s understanding of life.
The cultural segment began with an introductory presentation, followed by a soulful rendition of Saraswati Vandana. A melodious welcome song by the students further added to the warmth of the occasion and set the tone for the performances that followed.
The young Titikshians then presented a thoughtfully curated series of cultural performances celebrating the special bond between grandparents and grandchildren. A short theatrical presentation beautifully brought alive the values of love, respect, care, gratitude and togetherness that make family relationships so precious. Through the performance, the students conveyed the message that grandparents are not only cherished members of the family but also important sources of wisdom, affection and emotional strength.
The auditorium then came alive with a vibrant Retro dance performance, taking the grandparents on a delightful journey through the music and memories of their younger days. The energetic presentation created moments of joy and nostalgia, allowing children and grandparents to celebrate together through music and movement.
The programme moved towards a special Thanks-Giving Finale, bringing together the spirit of gratitude and celebration. The performances reflected the enthusiasm and creativity of the young students while also expressing their affection and appreciation for the grandparents who hold a special place in their lives.
A formal Vote of Thanks marked the conclusion of the programme, expressing heartfelt gratitude to the Chief Guest, Distinguished Guest, dignitaries, grandparents, parents, teachers, students and everyone who contributed to making the occasion meaningful and memorable. The programme was followed by takeaways and dispersal.
Grandparents’ Day at Titiksha Public School was more than a celebration; it was a reminder of the enduring role of grandparents as the roots of the family tree–quietly nurturing, guiding and enriching generations through their wisdom, stories, values and unconditional love.
