The initiative is designed to help students with studying, research, revision and preparation for examinations. The tools are expected to be useful for college students as well as those preparing for competitive exams such as JEE and NEET.
Google is adding new study features to its AI services, including tools that can help students create personalised learning plans, practise questions and understand difficult topics.
Students will also be able to use their study materials with AI tools to organise content and create structured study resources. This could help learners revise subjects more efficiently and focus on areas where they need additional practice.
For eligible college students, the free one-year Google AI Plus offer provides access to enhanced AI capabilities and additional storage, giving students an opportunity to use Google's advanced AI tools for academic work.
The company is also expanding AI-powered features in Google Search and Gemini, with a focus on interactive learning and research.
For JEE and NEET aspirants, AI-based practice and revision features could provide additional support alongside traditional coaching, textbooks and classroom learning.
The move comes as the use of artificial intelligence in education continues to grow, with technology companies increasingly developing tools aimed at personalised learning.
Google's initiative is expected to give more Indian students access to AI-powered educational resources and help them use the technology for learning, preparation and academic research.
