Mumbai, July 23: BITS School of Management, the new-age business school under the aegis of BITS Pilani, has officially welcomed its flagship MBA Class of 2026–28. This landmark cohort stands as the largest in the institute’s history, following a strategic 50 percentage expansion in intake that scaled the programme from 160 to 240 seats. The milestone response highlights the rapidly growing demand for BITSoM’s future-ready curriculum, which is designed to cultivate leaders who can seamlessly bridge the gap between traditional business fundamentals and emerging technologies.
The incoming class brings together a highly competitive and multidisciplinary group of scholars, professionals and achievers from across the country. Demonstrating BITSoM's continued commitment to gender diversity, women constitute a significant 54% of the cohort. Students come from diverse academic disciplines, including commerce, engineering, sciences, humanities and other fields, creating a rich classroom environment that encourages varied perspectives and collaborative learning. Further strengthening this diversity, 79% of the incoming class brings prior work experience, enriching peer learning through a blend of academic excellence and real-world industry exposure. The Class of 2026–28 commenced their transformational two-year journey with a high-energy, week-long orientation programme. Designed to foster immediate amity and establish a culture of collaboration over competition, the orientation combined intellectual rigor with personal development. The orientation activities featured academic briefings, leadership talks, team-building activities and interactions with faculty, alumni and industry leaders.
