July 24: Amity Institute of Behavioural Health & Allied Sciences, Amity University Uttar Pradesh, Noida, organised a two-day Student Orientation Programme, ‘Deeksharambh’, for 50 newly admitted students of Psy.D., Master’s in Clinical Psychology , Professional Diploma in Clinical Psychology and Advanced Diploma in Child Guidance and Counselling Programmes, recognized by the Rehabilitation Council of India, for the Academic Year 2026–27. The Orientation Programme commenced with a sacred “Havan performed by Dr. Balvinder Shukla, Vice Chancellor, Amity University Uttar Pradesh and senior officials of Amity.
Addressing the students, Dr. Balvinder Shukla, Vice Chancellor, Amity University Uttar Pradesh, said,
"At Amity University, we firmly believe that every new beginning should commence with prayers to the Almighty, as it paves the way for success. The objective of the 'Deeksharambh' Orientation Programme is to help students smoothly adapt to the new academic environment, build their confidence, and familiarise them with the University's academic system, regulations, values and culture, thereby enabling them to embark on a successful academic journey. Mental health professionals have an increasingly vital role in promoting individual well-being and building a compassionate society.” She called upon the students to pursue their studies with dedication, hard work and uphold ethical values as an integral part of their personal and professional lives."

During the two-day orientation programme, various sessions including “Industry Interaction & Career Pathways”, “Alumni Interaction” session, “Student Grievance Redressal System” session, “Gender Sensitization and Introduction to the POSH Act”, and “Orientation on Rehabilitation Council of India Guidelines”, were also organized.
