Pune, Nov 05: Cognizant, an AI Builder and technology services provider, today unveiled its newly renovated, state-of-the-art campus in Pune, reinforcing its commitment to the region’s talent and innovation ecosystem. Spanning 139,000 square feet across four blocks, the upgraded campus is designed to enhance safety, reliability, efficiency and workplace performance, giving associates a modern, future-ready environment in which to work.
“Over the past two decades, our Pune center has evolved into a key hub for delivering advanced technology solutions to global enterprises,” said Rajesh Varrier, President – Global Operations and Chairman & Managing Director, Cognizant India. “The enhanced campus reflects our AI Builder vision, creating a future-ready environment that aims to empower our associates to collaborate, innovate and deliver greater value for our clients.”
The campus transformation has increased seating capacity from 960 to 1,270 work seats, while comprehensively modernizing the existing environment. The project spans workplace interiors, building services, the facade and external areas, technology infrastructure and supporting amenities, creating a refreshed and contemporary workplace.
The transformation reflects Cognizant’s efforts to evolve its workplaces in line with the evolving needs of associates. By bringing together modern workspaces, upgraded infrastructure and enhanced amenities, the Pune campus is designed to foster greater collaboration, connection and an improved associate experience.
Complementing the revamped workspaces are a new open-air amphitheatre with approximately 350 seats, an upgraded cafeteria with around 540 seats, and a multipurpose hall with 255 seats. An enhanced wellness center, featuring a modern gym and dedicated yoga room, also provides associates with spaces to recharge and prioritize their well-being.
Cognizant’s commitment to Pune extends well beyond the workplace. Through Cognizant Outreach, its associate volunteering program, the company has championed community impact in the city. In 2017, Outreach launched Project Dhyeya to advance STEM education for meritorious students from lower socio-economic backgrounds, with a focus on nurturing future engineers. Since then, the initiative has expanded to other cities across India. More than 250 volunteers have contributed over 10,000 hours of learning, and the program currently supports more than 650 students from Class 8 through graduation. Many program beneficiaries have secured admission to leading engineering institutions, including IIT Delhi, IIT Bombay, IIIT Allahabad, VIT Pune and PICT.
Cognizant has a strong operational presence across India, with locations in Bengaluru, Bhubaneswar, Chennai, Coimbatore, Delhi-NCR, GIFT City, Hyderabad, Indore, Kochi, Kolkata, Mangaluru, Mumbai, Pune and Visakhapatnam.
